The Story of
The construction of 250 Main was completed in the spring of 2016. This 57’ tall, 26 room, 17,000 sq foot hotel is one of few buildings in Rockland with an elevator and the only with a rooftop deck. Conceived and built by owner Cabot Lyman of Lyman-Morse Boatbuilding, the hotel was designed by architect Scott Tease of Scattergood Design in Portland, ME as well as James Thirlwall of Thirlwal Building Design, and is managed by Migis Hotel Group, also of Portland, ME. Taking inspiration from the Abenaki American Indian word migis, a place to steal away to rest, Migis Hotel Group is a family run company operating some of New England’s most pre-eminent inns and resorts.
